David, you have judged ztect very accurately. Here is some background info..

I reposted below a post made on the GTCI thread 10th February. Since then ztect has posted well in excess of 200 negative posts on the Company and the long term investors in it. Over a two day period (17th & 18th February), he managed an incredible 29 lengthy negative posts. Just recently, he wrote such a defamatory post, along the lines of #547, that SI had to change it. Fortunately, I have copied it on disc for future use.

REF: ztect. I owe an apology to the thread for having...

attracted his attention to GTCI with the following posting on his thread. Please, note that I was not asking his opinion on the stock, as he wrongly stated, since I have been long for quite a while now. I was merely drawing his attention to GTCI and INNI, as stocks that were about to benefit from positive news. I was just trying to do him a favour, and as it often happens, it backfired. Within 21 minutes of having posted to him, he was back on this thread with a long negative posting of his own. This just shows how little research he could possibly have done in that short space of time!
What first attracted me in GTCI, is the fact that a person of the caliber of Yongzhi was involved in the research. Having closely followed INNI, I know how meticulous and risk adverse he is. He even went so far as testing some of the Y2K solutions.
Speaking Chinese, he is able to monitor related developments in China better than anyone else and I am convinced that he has been able to conduct a full appraisal of the ability of the management team.
There are inherent risks in investing in a BB Company so early in its development stage, but that risk can be controlled through proper research and regular monitoring of the Company's progresses.
So far the Company has accomplished everything it said it would and has made an excellent move by hiring a well known PR firm. There is no other quick way to get discovered and time is obviously of the essence in this case.
The argument that the PR Company is being paid to bring GTCI to notoriety has no merit whatsoever and its financial reward is clearly disclosed in the disclaimer, which I had brought to ztect attention in another post, the previous day.
In brief, let reason and civility prevail in this case: GTCI has every chance to succeed if outsiders stop acting in bad faith and bashing it on the head for no good reason. Regards, F. Goelo + + +

ztect, GTCI ($1.19) should be $5 to $8 by August 99, according to...

Wall Street Research PR firm. Link to full report:

It would appear to the casual observer that, either he has a vested interest (he denies to be a stockholder) in attempting to defraud investor through stock manipulations (talking the value of the Company down) or he is an obsessed maniac intent on destroying Company values for his own sadistic pleasure.
