I am not certain, i just think it is a much more likely outcome considering the history of interventionist Fed policies.

Eventually there is no question that deflation will present itself. The question is how we get there. Is it going to happen as a result of the collapse of housing and the bubble economy as a whole ? Or will the Fed try to defend the bubble at all costs and cause hyperinflation as a result ? In the latter case, the deflation would happen in the aftermath of the currency collapse and its subsequent replacement.
