Why not inspire to move forward? Because it's porkbarrel. If it was fiscally sound private enterprise would be financing it. Energy should theoretically be private, however energy is directly related to defense of our country right now as we are beholden to Muslim dictatorships. Bush and Cheney energy policies are inane. We need conservation and investment in alternative that make sense. Drilling in Alaska is stupid. We need our reserves for emergencies. SUVs are not emergencies.
