If this argument is taken to it's logical conclusion, the law should be EXPANDED to include PAPER (and toner/ink) to compensate all the copyright holders of books, magazines, etc. The photocopier does the same as other digital medium being target. What about home movies? Families are being punished whenever they film personal events. This solution is worse than the problem it's trying to solve. What is considered "recordable media"? Hard drives? Flash drives? Flash cards? Tapes? DVD's? Blueray? Do they need to add each new technology as it comes up?
