Talk about dumb rumors---GLW taking over SDLI is silly! No wonders the smart analysts on the sector are jumping on this idea. A SDLI and ETEK merger rumor would have been very believable--but not this one, IMHO. Of course ETEK is not available anymore. Looking for Corning's smart management taking a Cisco type of approach to acquisitions. Only if both companies traded at similiar multiples would such a deal (GLW/SDLI) be realistic. BTW--I would not be surprised if we see some sort of GLW/SDLI supply deal. That could boost SDLI stock some more.
