Investor Sentiment Surging Again:

From the Bank credit Analyst today

The latest survey from the American
Association of Individual Investors
(AAII) shows that bullish sentiment
among retail investors has
sky-rocketed. From a contrary
perspective, an elevated level of
optimism, or minimal pessimism, is a
negative technical sign. The last time
sentiment reached these extremes
was in early January. Although the
NASDAQ index still proceeded to rally
before peaking on March 10th,
sentiment provided an advance
warning that market conditions were
becoming overly frothy and, thus,
risky. The NASDAQ has enjoyed a
solid rally in the past 24 hours (the
futures are up sharply again this
morning), but current sentiment
readings warn that another setback is
approaching.
