Midway Expands Dauntless Gold Zone with 12.7 g/t Intercept at Midway Project, Nevada
Midway Gold Corp. (the "Company") announces the results of the first fourteen drill holes of a forty hole exploration program at the Midway Project, near Tonopah, Nevada. In the Dauntless Zone MW06-12 encountered 9.1 m of 6.55 g/t gold which includes a 4.6 meters of 12.8 g/t gold.

All the drilling was reverse circulation drilling conducted by
Eklund Drilling of Elko, Nevada and Layne Christensen of Chandler,
Arizona. Most of the report intercepts were assayed as 30 gram fire
assays by ALS- Chemex labs, in Sparks, Nevada. Check assays of 1000
gram screen metallic assays on splits of the significant intercepts
are currently being conducted at ALS-Chemex Labs. All the sampling
was conducted by independent contractors hired by Midway Gold
Corporation.
The results demonstrate that the Dauntless Zone is open to the northwest and southeast, but the higher grade gold occurs in chutes within the vein system. A core rig has been mobilized to the property to better define the gold orientation. Two reverse circulation drills are also drilling on the property. An additional twenty six holes are in progress to test the extent of the Dauntless zone and similar nearby vein targets.
