If it becomes neccessary to double down
on the puts, Microsoft's earnings are
supposed to be announced on the 21st--
with options expiring the 16th (third
friday) you would probably want to
play with February puts.

Oh, and by the way, I am playing with
money I made putting in December, I
would not use any new money on the
idea, as putting seems to be pretty
much a crapshoot--to be sure Vegas
can be cheaper and more entertaining
if you can get the time off work :-)
