Jaguar unveiled their F-Type Coupe and it's using a pull shade for its fixed roof. Won't be much competition for Mercedes since SPD is the only panoramic roof that cuts down interior temperature up to 18 degrees Fahrenheit. But seeing the industry moving towards more glass is a very good trend for SPD, especially with the heat reduction allowing lower use of air conditioning and thus reducing CO2 carbons, which has become a very serious issue in Europe, Asia and China. The S-Class sold half their S-Class to China, I think with the heat reducing carbon emissions, it will be a very popular option next year. Mercedes predicts 80K-120K sunroofs for 2015 S-Class. Since the size of the glass is much larges it follows that the royalty will be greater than the $150 for the SL. We'll know more when Mercedes releases pricing. ND
