Certainly, in your case that would seem to be the case. If you are referring to a Doctorate, it is a Ph.D. If you have one of those, it just reinforces an impression that I have been getting that just about anyone can get one these days. At one time, it did mean that the person who won it was a learned individual of some note. OH! WELL! Everything changes with time. DARBES
