Let me ask what could potentially be interpreted as provocative questions:

a) What is the threat to Oracle from Informix?
b) What is the threat to Oracle from Peoplesoft?
c) What is the threat to Oracle from Microsoft?
d) What %age of their business is from Europe and other currencies which are depreciating vs US $, and how does this %age compare with those of the above companies?
e) What is the real threat to Oracle, if any, from a rumoured merger between Microsoft and Progress Software?
f) For people who had been at COMDEX'96, what was your feeling about Oracle's NC vs the Wintel Networked PC? Does Oracle and all those companies who have whole-heartedly committed themselves on the 'de facto' Java and NC architecture have any real chance of winning reasonable market share in the Corporate environment in the next 2 years?

Right now, I don't feel all that comfortable about Oracle's strategy as well as execution capabilities on all of the areas above, and it has led me to avoid buying Oracle stock....but I've been wrong most of the time on Oracle so far!
