Hi LV, <<tax cut ... ideological rather than fiscal considerations>> is meant to be a tonic for J6P. <<Congress ... reducing ... tax cuts>> is not a political option. <<2010 will be the only year with no estate tax>> and maybe after that, if we do not stop ourselves at the precipice, because there might not be any estates to tax <g>.

<<deficit spending ... Japan’s experience ... far from encouraging. What were some of things that Japanese spend their money on to generate those deficits?>>

(a) airports on artificial island
(b) bridges link nowheresville to never-never land that no one will ever use
(c) gift coupons for tax payers to pay used panties of teenage girls from vending machines
(d) tax cuts
(e) stock market props
(f) banking and insurance company props
(g) ever lower still interest rates
(h) US stock market, indirectly, through capital flows

Chugs, Jay

P.S. <<anti-satellite systems>> I would imagine they are available for export to willing US buyers at prices substantially more affordable than Iridium.
