Ken - I think you are mostly right about that: Allstate, State Farm and Progressive will give you low teaser rates and then start jacking up the price after a year or so. But I found Geico doesn't play that game so I have been with them for about 10 years now. Given my political orientation, I have never trusted US Corporations so I have always been acutely aware of abrupt changes to price and have changed my car insurance provider often over the years whenever they have tried to maximize profit in regard to me.
