Bob,

Thanks for the words of encouragement.

I am seriously considering moving my grandmother either in with me, or in with my parents. It just breaks my heart to see her in a nursing home. I visited with her today and she's looking at stocks to buy. Mentally she is extremely sharp. Physically she needs almost full time care, she has osteoperosis (sp?) terribly and cannot get out of bed by herself and is pretty well confined to a wheel chair.

I don't know what the answer is, but I know for sure that this isn't it.

I think that it is wonderful that your mom is able to live with your family. I'm sure that she is a joy to y'all. Years ago families always took care of their own, I guess it is only in recent years that they tend to put them, even if they were okay mentally, in institutions.

I've never had to deal with this before and promised myself that I would never let this happen to her. Other family members had other ideas...out of sight...out of mind.

God bless,

Paul
