Albert, re: impact of recent price competition

You are right that the relative impact on AMD and Intel is a matter of interpretation. I was very surprised at the magnitude of AMD's ASP drop given a shift towards a richer blend of processors (mobile & MP) so perhaps more heavily influenced by the short-term costs to AMD's bottom line. Intel's IABG, while also having some ASP erosion, was apparently not as heavily hit unless it managed a lot of growth in the non-processor segments (chipsets likely were good with i850 and P4 expansion). Longer term, it will be interesting to see AMD with one processor fab and Intel with many, the competitiveness of the products in their markets, and the reception of the markets (particularly large OEMs).
