Intel's IABG, while also having some ASP erosion, was apparently not as heavily hit Intel's ASP erosion is more problematic than amd's if you factor in that amd is virtually selling the same processors (very few mobile yet) as in q2 (erosion is expected) while amd switched from older generation chips to their newer generation. AMD is going to explore new segments like mobile and commercial and introduce new chip for desktops by the end of next year while intel not only does not have any new territory but also does not have any new desktop products.
