US Pharma Firm Lilly Pauses COVID
Antibody Treatment Trial Over Safety Concern

The Phase 3 randomised control trial is a study of hospitalised
Covid patients that began in August across over 50 sites in US,
Denmark and Singapore with the aim of recruiting 10,000 people.

"Lilly is supportive of the decision by the independent DSMB
(data safety monitoring board) to cautiously ensure the safety
of the patients participating in this study," a spokesperson told
AFP in a statement.

Lilly didn't disclose any detail about the safety concern or how
many people are affected.
