I have spent too many hours over the past year with the great macroeconomic theorist during my research into the cause and progress of technology driven bubbles. I have finally concluded that the entire field is based on faulty assumptions and it can be safely ignored.

I think we are talking about different things, Paul. I'm certainly not talking about technology bubbles. Rather I am concerned with whether Chicago school approaches to 90s era economic development are more destructive than constructive. At least as it's embodied in the protocols of the IMF. That's Stiglitz' basic point as I understand him.
