My response was to shoot down planes..... NO, you clown, that was Cheney's response and a late one at that... I agree with his decision, but it was not a spur of the moment decision, that was already a contingency plan on the books. Problem was, the planes were ordered up late, in the wrong direction, and they were either not armed or had not been given the orders to shoot.... Remember Bush was somewhere in never never land all this time. He was being flown all over the country to hide him.
