After reviewing polls I am a bit relieved. My preferred scenario - Bush wins, dems take house, senate about 50-50 with some of the more strident republicans gone, i.e. Burns and Gorton. 2002 rolls around, dems take senate but not by much. The republic is saved!!!! Divided government rules!!

If you live in states with close senate races, i.e. Washington, Missouri, Montana, do your civic duty and vote for Bush for president but vote for the democratic senator.
