The thing I question is the wisdom of spending $15 in commissions, or higher to buy one share of a $15 stock. That is 100% in commissions. A little steep, no? Best, Savant

Glad you asked that question before the market opened and all the holders of stock in the US put in an order for one share of CheckFree tomorrow.

The entire notion of owning one or a thousand is based on probabilities, CKFR faces fierce competition from MicroSoft, First Data & Citigroup in Transport...if there ever was a perscripion for a loss then this is it...UNLESS they do hold the WILDCARD, the ACE of SPADES, the WINNER TAKE ALL..postition.

I think I understand the market reaction to a FAILURE in acceptance, the stock price fell 80% or so in a couple weeks after an earning shortfall...I was crucified.

But back to you question $15 in commission to buy a $15 dollar stock if it went to ZERO and you held it you would be out $30...But if CKFR beats, MICROSOFT, CITIGROUP & FIRST DATA, the number 1, number 1, and numBer 1 in thier respective fields ....THEN? IF?

THERE IS A MARKET, WHAT IS YOUR $15 DOLLAR STOCK WORTH...IF CHECKFREE OWNS IT VS. THE OTHER 3?

Gotta ask, BECAUSE IT WILL IMO HAPPEN.....
