Jaime, A very cheap option I think is a product called Amibroker, amibroker.com Its got all the charting features you could want plus its got a formula language for system programming. It includes support for backtesting and optimisation. You can define your indicators as well and do real time scanning and alerts for buy/sell signals. All this for a single fee of $100 for the EOD version and $200 for the realtime. THe realtime can use eSignal , myTrack as sources or for the cheapest option medved Quotetracker. i use it with QT and money.net which I find satisfactory. Regards Michael
