You don't really loose the working capital. If you simply keep your shares you still have the same part of the company. I try to profit from downward moves by selling some of my shares and trying to buy them or other back at cheaper prices. Up to now I have mainly sold my loosers or companys which I no longer consider to be important for my portfolio. Now I have pretty much used up the raised cash. If the correction is not yet over, I will resume selling and buying back. Downward moves are simply nicer if you can use them as buying opportunity.
