AuctionAnything.com has three (3) primary lines of business. The majority of AuctionAnything.com's revenue is generated through an inventory-based Internet auction called SportsAuction (http://www.SportsAuction.com). SportsAuction generates revenue by procuring specialty merchandise at the wholesale level and selling it at retail through an online auction format. Examples of a typical inventory would include autographed items (such as photos, jerseys, balls, hats, etc.), sports memorabilia (such as trading cards), and other miscellaneous collectibles. Most auctions run for one (1) week and contain between 500 and 3000 lots.
AuctionAnything.com is leveraging SportsAuction's existing assets and infrastructure, including its auction engine and extensive customer database, to expand into two (2) other business areas. First, AuctionAnything.com has launched its Auction Business Solutions (ABS) division. This business unit focuses on providing Internet auction solutions for companies and organizations that wish to augment their e-commerce efforts with an automated auction system.
AuctionAnything.com believes that the highest growth rates in the online auction marketplace will take place in the business-to-person and business-to-business space. AuctionAnything.com's ABS division is focused on providing solutions to this potentially explosive segment of the auction marketplace. While most of AuctionAnything.com's business solutions are anticipated to be auction-centric, the company will focus on identifying and pursuing specialty e-commerce market segments where its modular technologies can be deployed in a "first-to-market" attempt.
In addition to the SportsAuction and ABS divisions, AuctionAnything.com provides a person-to-person trading community Auctions.AuctionAnything.com that supplements the network of ABS sites. This site offers participants the ability to purchase and/or sell their own items through either a classified or auction format.
AuctionAnything.com, Inc. is the parent company of North Orlando Sports Promotions, Inc. (NOSP) which operates SportsAuction. Gross revenues for NOSP were approximately $409,000 in 1998 up from approximately $222,000 in 1997. NOSP had a net loss of approximately $4300 in 1998 down from a net gain of approximately $17,000 in 1997.
