It seems Senator Harkin claimed, in 1979, he was a pilot in Vietnam, but the closet he got to 'Nam was Japan.

Pah! The closest Dumbya got to Vietnam was a bar in Central Texas.

And the closest Dick F'n Cheney got to Vietnam was his own bedroom! :-)
