The growth is all from market share gains. The combined numbers he gave for the top 10 competitors added to CSCO's numbers presented a decreasing picture of overall revenues in enterprise and telecom, combined. Pure speculation that it will increase. In a slowing economy, overall loss of corporate wealth, and lack of investors to pour in new funds, the telecom market has nowhere to go but down. Hence, 20% of CSCO's market now, and he projects higher in the future, continues to go down. Desperation will cause price wars soon as smaller players struggle to remain viable. Margins go down as a result. Just speculation on my part, but I'm out of CSCO after a long hold and won't get back in until customer base improves.
