Looks like you zeroed in on the same stuff I did.
I like USRXs flexibility. Win CE-No prob. Standards, we got no steeking standards and when there is >WE'LL adapt.
As for Bill Schroetum (DIMD) sounds like he's a guy whistlin' past the graveyard. Scared shitless, but doesn't want to admit it.
I've contended all along that "This is the USA." We want things BIGGER, FASTER and YESTERDAY.
I don't know about you, but I'll have my greasy little paws around a 56 as soon as I can get it. It's like stereo's, cars, etc. Computers are no different. We're fickle as hell and always want that next new toy.
Like the bumper sticker says - "He with the most toys wins" I don't particularly like that saying, BUT it's the way we think.
I think it's particulary true for MEN. And who's gonna go out and blow their cash on a new faster better toy. Probably a guy. We're stupid that way.
Like that ad with the guy in the toy store with his kid who's grabbing at everything. Comes to a dead stop when he finds his BIG, FAST RED pickup truck. 56 is the PERFECT toy. Satisfys the need for speed, which we all feel.
Remember that survey from SI that you posted awhile back? MOST folks had a 28.8 -THE FASTEST available >For Now.
When we get a chance at a 56, we'll take it. You ever hook up at 14.4 just for fun. SLOWWWWW. Once you get the faster toy, there's no going back. |
