Bill, Isn't PDF an open standard? Wasn't Apple able to incorporate PDF capabilities into its OS X rendering engine without paying licensing fees to Adobe? BTW, I think Lars is more interested in the lack of pdf writer support. I don't think Adobe plans to give its distiller away for free, but there are basic pdf writers out there that are cheaper than Adobe Acrobat.
