No sure what the impact of this will be: TELEPHONE AND DATA SYSTEMS INC launched a corporate
restructuring, including the acquisition of the public stakes of
both UNITED STATES CELLULAR CORP and AERIAL COMMUNICATIONS. TDS
said under the restructuring plan approved by its board of
directors, it would create three new classes of common stock,
known as "tracking stocks", which would separately reflect the
performances of U.S. Cellular, Aerial and its TDS
Telecommunications Corp unit. U.S. Cellular and Aerial are both
majority-owned subsidiaries of TDS. The plan will be submitted for
approval by shareholders at a special meeting in early 1998, TDS
