Yes. Some exist, but they hardly work in concert even though many of them have principles that are nearly identical.

Parallel institutions and politics are not mutually exclusive. I just think that GOP coalition politics is outdated. Where there is government there is politics. Indeed where there are humans there is politics. SCs need to understand this and use politics to defend themselves. One of the main problems they face is that America effectively has no Constitution. That document can literally be interpreted to grant rights where rights by no means exist. It can also be interpreted in such a way as to allow a denial of rights where rights once existed. It is not very dependable as it relies on shifting language and people of fundamental integrity. SCs must fully engage in the theatre of law and politics to protect their interests. Should they simply disengage and hide, as they did during the rise of Existentialism, they will lose once again.
