I'll take you at your word because it looks as though you've thought it through. The situation of unfunded future liabilities we have now is painful to think about. And I agree both parties are guilty of sweeping the whole thing under the rug.

I don't know enough to say much other than of all the ideas proposed by the Rs in recent years, the idea of investing some or all of SS funds into the financial markets had appeal to me. I would have liked to see some serious non-partisan discussion on it eight years ago.
