I know several people who have problems taking Fish Oil capsules and take Cod Liver Oil capsules instead to get their Omega-3's. There are a lot of warnings on the web about getting overdosed on Vitamin A if you do that. Any truth to it?

Frankly, Lindy, I find it a lot of trouble to try and manipulate three independent components and try to get the desired dose out of each and every one of them. I find this true with combination supplements as well as combination prescription agents.

However, I don't know why someone who can't take fish oil capsules would be able to take cod liver oil capsules.

Standard cod liver oil does indeed potentially provide too much vitamin A, especially at the doses of vitamin D we are often using.
