Spending by government is a huge problem. So far we Republicans have proven we are no better than our predecessors. Frankly the spending is infuriating. To me it shows that power corrupts. The spending by Republicans if not reversed will be the genisis of a return to power of the democrats. I would not be surprised to see a 3rd party candidate for president in the next election - much like Ross Perot.

In the last election the dems had no credibility on this issue. I will never forget john kerry looking into the camera and swearing never to raise taxes on people making less than $200k - while at the same time promising us every gift imaginable from government.

We Republicans were blessed by an idiot like kerry!
