the mostly speculative & generally unsubstantiated theories about global warming. Perhaps you will soon observe that the "enlightened" Bush administration has removed its head from its own navel observatory and now acknowledges that, lo' and behold, global warming does exist. (The disagreement between the left and the right now focuses on what to do about it ---- and the Bushies might just have a damned good idea.) And just for edification purposes "global warming" does not mean that the climate is warming everywhere per se, it means that the ramifications of human behavior on our environment upset the weather cycles so that patterns become every more irregular than ever before (save for meteorites and glaciers), such that the Gulf Stream may just flat out stop, temperatures in Britain dive an average of 10 to 20 degrees for the foreseeable future, and penguins occupy beautiful, downtown Pittsburgh.
