I do not agree on getting rid of the OTC market.

The OTC market came into existence as the NYSE/AMSE requirements decades ago prevented startup companies from being on either exchange.

Many of the companies today exist because they got their start in the OTC/Nasdaq market.

To close or burn the OTC markets would be a massive destruction of wealth amongst the people of the USA.

The bells and whistles that became a part of what the Nobel Prize winner is citing is not the original otc market. Taking a look at these is perhaps justified.

Unfortunately the Madoff scandal hurt the Nasdaq/OTC market---well the NYSE and other exchanges no doubt have dishonest people equal to Madoff.

Seems to me that everyone is on a witch hunt these days.
