I never may any attention to those bylines One has to get used to those over-generalized statements on current overall market activity and realize that they are only writers grasping for straws to attempt to come up with a simple "reason" for the market's movement when instead the market moves because of a complex mingling of a variety of factors. I'm sure you see them everyday in your newspaper or on the news when the writer or announcer says something like "stocks fell today because of investor skepticism about earnings" or something like that. My response would be "Oh really?" if I didn't know better that it's never, ever that simple.
