09:43 EDT Wednesday, October 01, 2003
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--
Mr. Malcolm L. Stevens, Chairman and President of Mandorin Goldfields Inc. ("the Company" TSX-V symbol: MGD) is pleased to announce the following.
In accordance with the global, and exclusive, license obtained by the Company (TSX - V transaction approval granted September 15, 2003 - please refer to news release September 16, 2003) to commercialize KDC Endeavour, the Company has been provided with two (2) locations, in Queensland, Australia, that have been identified by the application of the KDC Endeavour technique. These locations are potential locations of diamondiferous kimberlite and lamprolite deposits.
Today, within these two (2) locations, the Company lodged 8 applications for diamond exploration tenements (totalling 350 sq miles) encompassing 59 high-priority targets identified on completion of a 'first-pass' anomaly selection program, that included the interpretation of aeromagnetic data.
This 'first-pass' program confirmed, within the two (2) locations, the existence of a variety of discrete magnetic anomalies with characteristics consistent with kimberlite or lamproite intrusive sources.
In accordance with the proposed work programs established for these areas-of-interest a comprehensive exploration program will commence immediately.
