Amazing how, between the ranting, the insults, the ability to manipulate facts with reckless abandon, and the "true believer" disposition, a Qualcomm fanatic's always so easy to notice. I once saw a bumper sticker which read "God: Deliver Me from your Followers". When I see the mentality presented by so many fellow Qualcomm investors, I can't help but think how that statement rings true.

I don't think that you've bothered to look at how high roaming rates tend to be...and how willing foreign visitors genrally are to pay these rates. The fact that the first W-CDMA subscribers will inevitably primarily be those who are most likely to use their phones for roaming does more to push the economic incentive. Assuming that 4G, whatever it is, doesn't begin rolling out until 2010 or so, the potential roaming benefits of a W-CDMA deployment will have a major long-term impact for SK Telecom.

As I already said, I still don't think that these benefits will justify the costs related to building out a GSM-MAP core, but I guess you chose to ignore that. Selective hearing appears to be a widely held trait among Qvangelicals.

Eric

PS - You can have the last word here. I'm sure that it'll be just as amusing as your prior work.
