Mandorin Goldfields Inc.: Geological Consultants Appointed To Undertake Diamond Search Project Thursday October 2, 11:08 pm ET
VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--Mr. Malcolm L. Stevens, Chairman and President of Mandorin Goldfields Inc. ("the Company")(TSX-V symbol: MGD - News) is pleased to announce the following: Appointment of diamond exploration managers
The Company has appointed GeoDiscovery Group Pty Ltd, a Brisbane-based consultancy specialising in the generation and management of exploration programs to undertake the Diamond Search project.
They will be responsible for planning, executing and reporting on the diamond focussed exploration program.
GeoDiscovery is a large integrated group of experienced mineral exploration and discovery professionals, with extensive industry backgrounds and specialist skills. Members of the group have a background with major mining companies such as BHP, Rio, WMC and North.
The makeup of GeoDiscovery covers the key areas of expertise required for diamond exploration and discovery. GeoDiscovery provides a highly flexible and motivated team approach that can incorporate all aspects of exploration from conceptual models to target generation and drill testing. This is backed by 'turn key' project management services.
The diamond program will be supervised by Mr Graeme Mackee, an experienced geophysicist, with demonstrated expertise and success in the search for kimberlites and related intrusives. Specialist support will be provided by Jeff Foster, a geologist with expertise in intrusive systems including kimberlites and related rocks. Mr Mackee is a qualified person under National Instrument (NI) 43-101.
Mandorin licence for exclusive worldwide rights to use KDC Endeavour
Mandorin has entered into a Licence agreement (approved by TSX-V on September 15, 2003 - please refer to news release dated September 16, 2003) with UniQuest, the commercialisation company of the University of Queensland, for exclusive worldwide rights to use the KDC Endeavour technique. KDC Endeavour is intended for use in the identification of potential locations of diamondiferous kimberlite and lamprolite deposits in traditional and non-traditional locations.
Mandorin plans to first prove-out the technology in 'trial' exploration programs (Tenement applications lodged 1 October 2003 - please refer to news release of that date), before seeking to exploit it more broadly.
