He's been saying that for a couple of years now. Others have said they can't be making much on subscribers. They have to keep building to provide mediocre service. The catch is if there is sufficient subscriber attrition -- AOL will not appear attractive to advertisers.
If subscriber number head south look for them to lie about this for as long as possible to prevent defection of advertisers.
