The example you give in support is the Soviet Union which you claim collapsed because of the fall in the price of oil. Not a single historian would agree with you. The Soviet Union collapsed because its socialist, centralized economy could not compete - and grow - relative to the West. If you were right, then the Iranian regime (which began in 1979 with the Iranian Revolution) would have already fallen in the same way (you say) as the USSR!!
