Yes Jon I should, but I don't remember his name. I got tired of hitting my head against a wall with this guy and gave up. He couldn't get past the idea that all I ever need to to look at when I want to buy is the ask price, and all I need to look at when I want to sell is the bid. The notion that every transaction has to involve some entity that buys and another entity that sells seemed foreign to him, so it was impossible to engage in conversation about who was buying and who was selling, what the MMs are supposed to do, etc. Thankfully, I'm starting to get my answers out here. I just read the AGREEMENT & CONDIIONS on the back of Trade Confirmation that says when they act as agent Datek will, upon request, furnish the name of the person on the other side of the trasaction who bought or sold the securities. I think I'm going to ask.
