I can't answer the first part of your question, but as of covered call
I may help. I sold Jan. 98 covered calls for 5.10 strike 85 on Friday.
If the earnings are below expectations, then I will buy the calls with
a good profit. If not, then I will staty end-up winner giving-up CPQ
at 90.10 in Jan. that still reprents a 40% return over a short period.
