OT Stan, the American soldiers are supposed to be in the Philippines just to train Filipino soldiers on the use of modern American weapons. But their presence seems to have a good side effect --- it slowed down the activities of the criminal elements. The American teachers in return learn valuable lessons in Real jungle survival. A number of Israelites are also there to train the Locals on how to effectively fight terrorism. Philippine president Gloria Arroyo said in a UN address not too long ago, --- " Poverty is the Root cause of Terrorism ... " and President Bush believes it. The Americans are there to help the plight of the poor to win them back from the Lawless by building and rebuilding Mosques, houses, bridges and roads and see to it that inhabitants live in peace.
