What a wonderful speech by Mr. Heston! I have known some who lived through the great depression and the descriptions they tell are very very sad. I think we all know that Mr. Heston is probably a very rich man. Some people look at tables and graphs made by the government and say that old people are the richest part of society. What they seem not to know is that there are few old people who are very, very rich but there are many, many more who are poor. As one gets older he has very large medical bills to pay and usually has to take a lot of medicine. Medicare does not pay enough of these costs to keep these old ones from having a great burden. There is much more to say about the greedy people and criminals who steal from what government programs we have but I will not take this time to discuss it.
