WT Perhaps, but a little diversion is not necessarily bad as long as it doesn't become the norm but "useless" is a little harsh and I am sure you didn't mean it that way. I think every aspect of Ampex good or bad has been hashed/rehashed many times and short of kidnapping Ed Bramson, holding a gun to his head and forcing him to spill his guts, I do not know what else we can do. All the dots have been connected and the analysis is in. It's down to a waiting game now..I personally contribute very little, if any, to this thread since most are more knowledgeable than I, but I have learned a lot by reading the post over the months and have developed a respect for the informative posters...maybe I am a little defensive.......Please Excuse that.
