Regarding Battleground, I think their poll is an average of 3 or 4 days. They had Bush up 9% 2 and 3 days before the election but only 5% the last day. This means that the last day must have been about even, but since it is a tracking poll, this was lost in the averaging of results.

Apparently, the DUI had a lot more impact than anybody expected. It may end up costing Bush th presidency.
