Why should the Fed try and control that? There are numerous better ways, including disincentiving usage (of course that only works if you really want to use less of it, unlike our current administration).....

Interest rates are a very, very, blunt tool, that's all I'm saying. Energy policy requires (quite) a bit more subtlety.

From Ben's perspective however, he can't control the other stuff, so he's better than nothing I suppose.
