lEFTUkraine’s military intelligence (GUR) has eliminated a Russian OMON lieutenant colonel involved in war crimes in the Kyiv region.

The target was Veniamin Vladimirovich Mazherin, a lieutenant colonel in the Russian “police” who served in the special unit Obereg of the National Guard’s Kemerovo branch.

On October 25, his car was blown up with a remotely detonated bomb while he was driving in the Kemerovo region.

The Obereg unit was directly involved in some of the bloodiest war crimes committed in Ukraine during Russia’s full-scale invasion in February–March 2022.
