Dick,

You had a lot of good ideas. I agree with all of them but one. I like the flag and the ideas about the way the kill key would work and like you, I'm reluctant to see a kill key at all, but could live with it. I wouldn't use it, personally. I know how to use the "next" button.

This is the one thing I don't agree with... I think it's a bad idea to make public in any way how many people ignore anyone or put him on their peoplemarks. It promotes campaigning. These should be individual decisions and not be turned into campaigns.

I have seen the worst of it in reading the Fonar thread, where a bunch of people who strike me as no better than school children and hoodlums have campaigned against a woman mercilessly and without justification. This seems to be sport for them. To make pubic how many people ignore someone would serve to encourage them to continue to leave hundreds of notes campaigning for others to ignore her and bragging about how many people do ignore her. This activity is awful to read, distracting, and serves no constructive purpose, so I feel it should be discouraged on SI.

In fact, I'd like to see management make a rule that campaigning against a person rather than an idea should be reason for removal from SI.
